After a Dutch version and now a new Polish version, we hope and pray for an English version :) .

We will present the new edition at the boot 2011 exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany. We sign it there. So come and buy :) .

Schremser Family - after Vienna Marathon :)Hello, we are the Schremser´s. Let us introduce ourselves: Klaus-M. and Elisabeth, both in their mid-thirties, run a software company. We have two children, a 9 year old girl and a 7 month old boy, Sophie and Jakob. We live in Austria in the south of Vienna.
Austria
Austria, in the heart of Europe, is a wonderful place to be. If you interested in culture or if you like nature you have many possibilities in and around the country.
First, Vienna, the capitol of Austria. This city is full of historical places, great architecture, museums, theatres and an excellent cuisine. You can walk in the footsteps of the Habsburgs and visit Schönbrunn or the Spanish riding school with the Lipizzan ballet, see the exhibition of Klimt´s paintings in the Upper Belvedere, or have a break in one of the numerios Heuriger – a typical Austrian wine tavern. Vienna is not only an old city, it´s also modern too. You have an exciting art complex – the Museums Quartier www.mqw.at  - with a museum for mordern art, a theatre especially for kids, cafés and restaurants. Nearby there is Mariahilfer street, one of the most popular shopping streets. Vienna has a beautiful green side an a nice surrounding with many nature like the Danube meadows, the Vienna woods, the vineyards or Lake Neusiedl. www.wien.info/en
In a distance of a 75 minutes drive on the Danube you can reach Bratislava by ship with the Twin city liner  www.twincityliner.com/web/index.php?lang=en
Our Home
Our home is situated in Wiener Neudorf – 20 minutes drive in the south of Vienna. We have a nice cosy apartment (for max 4 persons) in a friendly neighborhood with many green around, but also a perfect infrastructure. You have a living room with a flatscreen and a sofa which you can turn into a double bed, a open kitchen and two sleeping rooms. One sleeping room is a children’s room with a standard size bed and a baby bed. The kitchen is equipped with a dish washer, a microwave, an electric cooker and a fridge – deep freeze combination. In the bath room you have a washing machine and a dryer. We have wireless network  for using internet.
In a 5 minutes walk you have a supermarket, a drugstore and a train station. With this train, called Wiener Lokalbahnen www.wlb.at, you can move to Vienna but also in the south to Baden, a little Biedermeier town with a thermal bath www.badenonline.at/en/tourismus/tourismus.html.
Nearby our home is a lovely path next to a creek where you can walk to Mödling. There you can find nice restaurants, cafés and shops. In a 15 minutes drive you will reach Laxenburg castle www.schloss-laxenburg.at with a great park and a delicious ice cream parlor or Gumpoldskirchen, a village which is famous for  its vine and vine taverns.
Visit other European cities
Wiener Neudorf is located next to the freeway, so it is easy to reach some European cities for a short trip like Budapest (2 h), Prague (3h), Munich (4h) or the Mediterranean Sea on Italien or Croatia coast (5h), but also other nice destinations in Austria like Salzburg (3 h) or the thermal bath region in Styria (3 h).
Shopping
Next to Wiener Neudorf you find the biggest shopping mall in Austria and also one of the biggest in Europe – Shopping City Süd (SCS). It´s only a 10 minutes drive from our home by car, but you can also go by the train of Wiener Lokalbahnen. In a 45 minutes drive you find Parndorf outlet centre with international labels for sale prices www.designer-outlet-parndorf.at/en. Maybe you will combine a trip to Lake Neusiedl with a shopping tour in Parndorf.
In and around Vienna you will find a lot of attractions for kids like Vienna Prater www.prater.at/GeneralInformation.php?LI=1 or Family Park Neusiedl www.familypark.at/en/index.html - two amusement parks. You can also do a lot of sports. There are many bicycle routes, lakes or public swimming bathes. On Lake Neusiedl www.neusiedler-see.at you can go sailing or surfing, or maybe you will try one of the several routes of the bike park on Mount Semmering www.bikeparksemmering.at/en/bikepark.
Last, we have some event and restaurant tipps for you:

* the open air cinema at the city hall square in Vienna for classic fans, top restaurants and bars cater various delicacy

* Vienna Naschmarkt, a food product market, small restaurants with international cuisine

* Mole West, Lake Neusiedl, a restaurant and bar with great view on the lake, you can also come by boat http://mole-west.at/en

* Mörbisch operetta open air festival www.seefestspiele-moerbisch.at/home/index.htm

Janus Boye, the internationally well-known consultant for CMS and organizer of conferences for CMS / social media / collaboration, hosted again the J. Boye 2010 conference in Aarhus, Denmark.

During the conference one of the highlights is the Web Idol contest where the participating CMS vendors have to compete against each other in showing special functions and usabiltity related tasks with in a limited timeframe.

I had the honor to demonstrate Gentics Content.Node 5 which features a full integration of the outstanding Aloha Editor. While other vendors showed complex backends and complicated workflows Aloha Editor enables lightweight front-end editing which is EASY & FAST.

Thanks to all the great people who voted for Gentics and the really HUGE trophy we got from Janus.

Special thanks to the awesome team at Gentics who supported me and lend a hand whenever necessary.
